Juggling life, work, and being an author can be a daunting task at the best of times. Add depression to the mix and it can feel downright impossible. As someone who has experienced this struggle firsthand, I can tell you that finding a balance is key.
First and foremost, it's important to prioritize your mental health. This means taking breaks when you need them, seeking support from loved ones or professionals, and practicing self-care regularly. It's okay to put work or writing on hold if it means taking care of yourself. That being said, there are ways to incorporate humor into your daily routine to help alleviate the weight of depression. For me, I often turn to memes or silly videos to give myself a laugh. It may seem small, but finding moments of joy can make a big difference in your overall mood. As for juggling work and writing, time management is key. Set realistic goals for yourself and prioritise tasks based on their importance. Don't be afraid to delegate or ask for help if you need it. Overall, navigating life, work, and writing with depression can be challenging, but it's important to remember that you're not alone. Seek support, practice self-care, and don't forget to find moments of laughter and joy along the way.
